Youth Bible Study Lessons on the Disciples

I ran this series for fall ministries. We had done the ‘Walk With Christ‘ series in the spring and studied out of a book for summer. I really wanted to get back into the word. I considered doing a series on children’s Sunday school stories, but then God gave me direction.

In my personal devotions I came across Acts 2.42, that tells us the early church was devoted to the teaching of the Apostles. Then in 1 Corinthians 1.11 Paul exhorts the Corinthian church to follow him as he follows Christ. And I thought to myself, “There are three disciples other than Paul who have contributed quite a bit to the Bible, through their lives and teachings.”

This series will briefly survey Peter, John and James. We will cover their calling, their ministry before the Crucifixion, their ministry in the early church and some of their teachings.
