Relative Truth?

Is truth relative to humanities perception?

Social development would lead you to believe that it is. Society, especially in the US, undergoes an ethical migration every few years. During this time the society, in general, changes perspective on more and more issues. Currently, hot topics are same sex marriage. Homosexuality in general was not even tolerated by the majority of society just 25 years ago, or less. Today it is completely acceptable. Society is even beginning to kick the idea that it is morally wrong, varying from the tradition of Judeo-Christian morality.

Scientific development appears to be relative as well. In the field of Anthropology, it is common practice to scratch all generally accepted theories when a new theory becomes available which seems more plausible. This makes sense until you consider that they build all theories on the foundation of other theories not on solid fact. The basic and simple truth is that all evolutionary theory is flawed, containing only small traces of truth combined with misconception of other elements.

These patterns in society and science have taken place as long as history has recorded them. As an example, very little of the discoveries of the Ancient Greeks are still applicable today. This is why David, said, “Into your hands I commit my spirit…the God of truth” (Psalm 31:5). It is God that is truth not science or whatever society chooses to embrace. Worldly truth fades and changes, but God’s truth is unchanging, never-ending, imperishable. “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” (1 Peter 1:23). Embrace the truth of God for this truth is real as proven by its timelessness.
