Hypocracy in Worship | Me Worship for the “Me” Church

By Anthony Delgado ~ August 27th, 2008. Filed under: Videos.

This is a cleverly constructed video designed to humble the believer on matters of selfish worship. Often our perspective on worship is twisted. We should not worship in order to recieve personal gratification or for spiritual uplifting. Those things will come for most, but the intent of worship should be to bring glory to God not to ease your pains of the week.

Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water”.
(Revelation 14:7 NIV)

An additional context is to point out the hypocracy in worship. So many are Sunday only worshipers. All we do should be worship to God and bring Him glory. If we live our lives selfishly, then when we come into church to worship, we are really singing, “It’s all about me.”

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
(1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV)
